Fire Extinguishing System Electrical Panel

Share Article:

🔥 The Fire Extinguishing System Electrical Panel is designed to control, operate, and automatically monitor all critical equipment involved in the fire suppression process. It is an integral part of the building’s fire safety system and is engineered to function reliably under emergency conditions, ensuring:

  • Uninterrupted power supply

  • Rapid activation of fire suppression equipment

  • Automatic and manual/local control options

The panel is directly interfaced with the Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS) and responds immediately upon receiving an alarm signal by activating pumps, fans, solenoid valves, and other components of the fire suppression installation.

🔌 Secure and Redundant Power Supply

To ensure operation under all scenarios, the panel is powered by two independent sources:

  • The main electrical grid

  • A backup power source (generator or UPS), automatically switched via an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch)

⚙️ Internal Equipment

The panel is equipped with:

  • Contactors, fuses, and monitoring relays

  • Programmable relays

  • PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)

  • Visual and audible indicators for operational, fault, and failure status

  • Optional: HMI (Human-Machine Interface) display with testing/reset functions

🔗 System Integration

The panel can send control signals and status feedback to:

  • BMS (Building Management System)

  • FSS (Fire Safety System)

  • Alarm and intervention dispatch centers

📏 Compliance with Standards

Designed and built according to the following standards:

  • EN 61439 – Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies

  • NFPA 20 – Standard for the installation of stationary pumps for fire protection

  • IGSU Regulations (P118, I7) – National fire safety regulations (Romania)

🏢 Applications

The fire extinguishing panel is essential in both civil and industrial buildings, including:

  • Production halls and warehouses

  • Shopping centers

  • Hospitals and medical facilities

  • Underground and above-ground parking garages

  • Tunnels

  • Office buildings

🔒 Reliability. Safety. Compliance.

A critical component in the architecture of any modern fire prevention and suppression system.
